"And I am a Shakespearean Actor..."

Name the movie...anyone? Okay, I'm a little late on this, but that's okay. A few weeks ago I went on a little vacation to Southern Utah with the fam! Since I was a little girl, we have been going down to the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City just about every summer ("I've swum here every summer in my adult life...every summer..." Name that one! K, I'm done). But seriously, it has become something I look forward to every year and I'm so grateful for this family tradition!

So, my family picked me up Monday morning around 8 AM and we headed off with all 3 kids in the back and with "Remember the Titans" playing on Nate's new laptop. We had to go a different way...through Ephraim so my dad could do some work. The rest of us visited the Manti temple, watched SNL videos, and took naps while we waited.
We left Ephraim, expecting to get to Cedar in a few short hours. However...Dad decided to take the scenic route. One "Road Closed" sign, a gas station in the small town of Duck Creek that was sent from heaven, about 5 hours, and a lesson on obedience later, we FINALLY arrived in Cedar City.
As you can see, Dad was a little flustered. Don't worry, we cheered him right up.
We had a blast in Cedar! Our cousin, Michelle, and her cute little family live in Cedar, so we got to meet up with them a few times at the Greenshow, for dinner, and to play tennis.

I almost beat Dad...next time...
We spent Wednesday in Bryce Canyon. This was my first time there and I was amazed at how beautiful it was! We did some fun hikes and played around in the gift shop.
Now, for the Shakespeare part! This was especially fun because I just took a Shakespeare class in the spring. I've always really liked his plays and I learned a lot in this class that made the festival more exciting.
We saw three plays this year, "The Merry Wives of Windsor", "Les Miserables", and "To Kill a Mockingbird". As always, they were excellent. It was fun to see "Merry Wives" because I did a group project on this play in my class. We made a movie, starring Jordan as Falstaff...if ya haven't seen it, ya gotta. My only regret is filming before he got the infamous mullet..."Les Mis" was obviously incredible. It's my favorite musical of all time...seen it 6 times now and still I just about die every time I see it.

Anyways, it was a really fun trip! Despite occasional grumpy moments, the weird kid that started playing tennis with us, and the fact that I had to pay Jordan $7.50 in 'bet money', it was just perfect.
